Old Town also has excellent theater companies with the Waterfront Playhouse, Red Barn Theatre and Fringe Theater.

New Town is located on the eastern side of the island, and roughly defined as the part of the island that is east of 1st Street and north of Flagler Avenue. It's estimated that just under 9,000 people reside in New Town.
